Transition

Embracing Change & Growing in God

Hey there! Happy (Belated) New Year!

I’ll be honest—I didn’t write as much as I wanted to last year. Life brought some major transitions, including moving to a new location. The change hasn’t necessarily been difficult, but it has been different. A new home, a new church, a new community—I’ve been taking the time to learn and explore my surroundings.

But beyond my physical location, I love the space I’m in mentally and spiritually. I feel like I’m stepping into a new version of myself. Growing up can feel scary at times, but I know I have to keep moving forward. Maturity isn’t just about age; it’s about perspective. And for me, that perspective has to align with the Word of God.

Seeing Through God’s Perspective

If we truly want to make an impact, we have to start seeing the world as Christ sees it. We can’t be effective if we don’t align our vision with His. This transition has pushed me to go deeper in my relationship with the Lord. Moving wasn’t just about a change of scenery—it was about positioning myself where God needed me to be.

I’m incredibly grateful for where I came from, and I’ll always stay connected to home. But I know this move was necessary. It’s hard to put into words, but I can feel myself encountering Jesus in a new way. The truth is, the experiences and encounters we had with God years ago shouldn’t be the same ones we have today. He calls us to grow, to seek Him deeper, and to align ourselves with where He wants us right now.

When God Calls You Out of Your Comfort Zone

Sometimes, God moves us to unfamiliar places so we can rely on Him more than the people or routines we’ve grown comfortable with. If we stay too comfortable, we risk stagnation. God will often call us to step out in faith—to leave behind what’s familiar—so we can build a stronger, more personal relationship with Him.

I won’t pretend that this transition has been easy. It’s been challenging. But what’s different now is my understanding that it’s necessary. If I want to fulfill my purpose—if I want to step into everything God has called me to do—I have to be willing to embrace seasons of discomfort. There will be times when God asks us to do something completely outside our norm. But it’s always for a greater purpose.

Walking in Obedience

So, this is where I’ve been—growing, learning, evolving, and trusting God in new ways. I miss everyone, but I know this season is necessary for where God is taking me. The future is full of so much promise, and I’m excited to see what unfolds.

I want to encourage you—if God is calling you to something that feels difficult or uncertain, trust Him. It may not be easy, but obedience to God always brings blessings, fulfillment, and purpose. There is so much waiting on the other side of your yes.

Until next time, dear friends!
